Les télécommunications optiques spatiales, comme hier les communications par fibre optique, ouvrent la voie au très haut débit afin de répondre aux besoins croissants des applications telles que internet, la téléphonie mobile… Les modules principaux de cette liaison optique sol - satellite sont décrits ici et la présentation de quelques réalisations permet d’illustrer l’avancement des études dans le domaine.
