Robert Hooke
Astronome, mécanicien, opticien, architecte, co-fondateur de la Royal Society de Londres, Robert Hooke est une figure-clé de la révolution scientifique de l’époque moderne. On lui doit la Loi, qui porte son nom, sur l’élasticité des corps solides, ainsi que l’invention de l’horloge à ressort et le célèbre traité de microscopie Micrographia.
