Max Born
Physicien germano-britannique, brillant théoricien, Max Born est principalement connu pour son importante contribution à la physique quantique, notamment pour son interprétation statistique de la fonction d'onde, qui lui valut le Prix Nobel de Physique en 1954. Pour plusieurs générations d’opticiens, il est aussi le co-auteur de l’incontournable Principles of Optics.
