The HydraHarp 500 is ideally suited for advanced research areas such as quantum communication, quantum entanglement, quantum information, the characterization of single-photon sources and time-resolved spectroscopy.

Different trigger options to support a wide range of detectors, from single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs) to superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPDs) maximize flexibility in instrumentation. The HydraHarp 500 has 16 independent channels with market-leading low deadtime plus a common sync channel which enable true simultaneous multi-channel data recording with no deadtime between channels. The versatile interfaces such as USB 3.0 and external FPGA for data transfer ensure seamless integration and efficient data transfer, while White Rabbit allows precise cross-device synchronization for distributed setups.
